On tap at the beer Trappe the beer is amber with an ecru head. The aroma is of sour cherries and the taste is sour that exhibits a tanginess that resonates on the palate.

On draft at The Beer Trappe in Lexington, KY. Pours a clear light cola brown with an ecru head. Spicy nose. Flavors of tart apples and toffee. Clean crisp but sour finish. Nice.

Brownish head, gone very fast. Colour is dark red/brown, very deep and opacque. Nice smell, lactic acid, wood and red fruits, vinous. Taste is a bit acetic, not so sour, still some wood notes, but less complex than the smell. Medium bodied, dry, nice carbonation, soft. Good, but quite far from a Rodenbach, for example.

Bottle @ Cafe Derat. Clear dark brown - ruby reddish colour. Nose is slightly sour, cherries, tart. Flavour is sour cherries, dry and fruity. Refreshing.

Aroma: dry wine, yeast, some dried cherry as it warms up, Taste is mostly sour, even acidic. Astringent. The sourness is too dominating and kind of plain.

Bottle in gollem antwep Pours nicr dark red , big white foam Smells in between a good version of rodench , and a lambikbeer . Nice ! Taste is very good too ! Complex ( as always in the style ) sour ( again , lambic comes to mind) and sooooo dry ! Pretty neat stuff!

37,5 cl bottle @ home, bought online @ Drankgigant. Chestnut brown with athina beige head. Aroma of sour cherries and red wine. Tart taste with some more cherries. Medium carbonated with a nice tart aftertaste. Nice old Flemmish brown.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons, Calais. Pours a clear deep brown colour with a lasting beige head. Sourish Flemish aroma promises a decent beer. And it delivers. The best of these, the kriek and framboise are a bit sweet, but this has some proper sourness to it. A proper Flemish sour with some sharp fruits, some malt, some bread and biscuit and lots of just joy of being a Flemish sour. I love this style. Easy drinking, not hugely complex. Straight in your face Flemish sour. good.
