This pale, straw-coloured beer is one of the most popular of this brewery's successful range of flavoured ales, with a pleasing toffee note evident in the nose and palate, complemented by a good balance of malt and hop flavours.

Crosse Keys Spoons. Cask. Clear deep amber - brown beer. Small bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is fairly dry but has decent fine carbonation. Good malts, thin but tasty, perhaps a little of the promised toffee. Bitter citric peel hops in good balance. Touch of smoke. Little red berries before a dry spicy finish. Nice.

Cask at CPBF, 2013. It pours cloudy golden with a small white head. The nose is sickly sweet, sweet toffee, butterscotch and honey. The taste is grain, straw, butterscotch, toffee and honeycomb crunch ice-cream with a dry finish. Light-medium body and soft carbonation. One-dimensional and sweet.....
