Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Hazy gold. Sticky film of white head. Wow! What the... Red wine vinegar. Sharp cheese. Taste is sharp, cheesy tang. That’s it. Awful. It’s going down the sink...

Craft Clerkenwell. Keg. Hazy amber beer, small white head. Palate starts smooth but turns a little crisp. Smooth sweetish malts, touch of cream. Nice orangey hops, neither fresh or overripe. Little hops spice and pithy tangerine. Finishes light, dry and crisp. Nice beer. Good orangey spice.

Keg at The Hanging Bat. Pours hazy amber-gold, thin off-white head. Aromas initially suggest vinegar, resolving to a bretty-sherbetty kind of smell. Funky, but could be cheesy hops rather than barnyard. Sherbet carries on in the taste though, with some peachy sweetness. Not quite sure what they were aiming for here.

Keg at CPK - London. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds some ligtly tangy berries, strawberry, hints of funk even, light pale bread. Light-medium sweet flavor with nips of wood, further berries, some cobwebs, melon, strawberry, mellow poo. Medium bodied withfine carbonation. Sweet to finish with some woody, light grassy bitterness, a bit of wood, berries, white grape. Interesting stuff, and pretty tasty, but not even slightly doppelbocky.
