Crisp clear golden orange coloured body with a thick, four centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of bread, herbal hops, grass, grapefruit and a quite a bit of perfumey hops - nice and strong. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy, herbal and perfumey hop flavour up front with a light malt backbone, some lighter sugars and a bit of bread and yeast tucked in with the faintest bit of barnyardie flavours. Aftertaste shows mostly grassy and herbal hops with some light malt and spicy belgian yeast notes coming in through the back. Overall, a mild and refreshing APA with an emphasis on grassy, herbal and especially perfumey hops coupled with a light malt backbone. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Pearl Specialty Market in Portland, Oregon on 27-September-2013 for US$4.99 sampled at home in Washington on 30-November-2013.
