Half a pint while doing the CAMRA Mild Magic challenge. Not really a mild but very pleasant.

500ml bottle - Pours a clear orange-amber colour with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is soft grainy malts, caramel and light hoppy notes. A moderately sweet and malty taste, sweet malts, caramel and berry fruit flavours with a light bittersweet finish.

Spotty beige head on an ber coloured body served too cold (by me!). Sweet, malt & berry aroma. Medium bodied, soft & smooth with a clean back. Toffee, fruity, caramel & light hopped tastes with sweet finish. Nice enough.

[50cl bottle from the Calveley Mill Cheese Shop] A bright copper coloured pour with a ring of white head; toffee aroma; malty body with a caramel taste; and a dry finish with just a touch of spice. A pleasant Amber Ale.

Half-pint, cask shared with Finn at Architect. Scattered lacing, filmy layer, clear amber-coloured body. Moderate smell of leafy hops and malty sweetness. Malt-fruity flavours, toffee and leaves. Malt-fruity aftertaste, discreet bitterness to it. Satisfying. (Chester 26.01.2020).

Cask at Architect, Chester. Pours the classic “bitter brown” with a tight white head. Has a good aroma of hops, chestnuts and tea leaves. In the mouth it is mainly malts with a hint of apples. Finish is sweet – like barley sugar sweets. A bog standard bitter really.

Delt med Rune. Amber. Lavt tett skum med litt farge. Plommearoma. Smaken kjeks & fersken. Fruktig avslutning. Litt tørr. Bra bitter.
