25/7/2020. Bottle from Beer Cockermouth (beergb.com), and shared with the SHIG at our second Cumbrian bottle share. Pours clear pale gold with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, buttery caramel and sweet malt. Medium sweetness and light bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average carbonation.

Bottle from Beer Ambleside. Appearance - golden with attractive lacing. Nose - grains with some dried fruit. Some lemon too. Taste - same again with the muesli type notes. Palate - light bodied, creamy and with soft but balanced bitterness. Overall - pretty decent. Perhaps more like an old style English Pale Ale.

Handpull cask at the Watermill Inn, Ings. Light to mid-gold, with some uneven head and lacing. Grainy aroma with some grassy notes. Fruity bitter taste with some floral hop slightly increasing the bitterness in the finish. Slight metallic note in the aftertaste. Not bad.

Cask at the brewpub. Mostly clear golden coloured pour with a thin lasting white head. Aroma is nice midget gem, fruit fruits, berry, citra, flavour us light grains, lemon cirrus, light tropical fruits. Heavy lace on the glass. Palate is medium light. Good cask condition. Little grainy tannin in the finish. Pretty good golden low boost.
