Draft: Poured a deep brown mahogany with a beige head. Aroma is a bit buttery, malty. Taste is a roasted malt, buttery, toffee, a little off but drinkable.

9/10/2020. Cask at the Brewhouse & Kitchen, Portsmouth. Pours dark brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, toffee, chocolate, light coffee and marshmallow. Moderate sweetness and medium to harsh bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Cask, third at Brewhouse & Kitchen Portsmouth. Shared with Finn. Stable beige head leaving spotty lacing on the glass. A deep rustic glint to a dark brown body. Dark bread on the nose, hints of liquorice. Blended taste profile of chocolate malts and liquoriceroot backed by a touch of stewed fruits. Roasted bittersweet end. Pleasing. (Portsmouth 23.10.2019).

Frm cask at Brewhouse & Kitchen, Portmouth, Hampshire, on tour to 22 southern counties 05.01.19, Dark mahogany. Dense and persistent brown ead and lacing. Aroma of citrus and chocolate. Medium bitter taste of dark caramel, citrus, pine and dark malt.

Draft at Craft Beer Rising 2014 - London. Pours clear, dark brown with a creamy, tan head. Toasted bread on the nose with hints of roasted malts. Light-medium sweet flavor with some ash, burnt bread, light earth, hints of plastic. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Moderate roasted malts to finish with more earthy bitterness. Meh.
