Schramm’s Ginger is a full-throated, unapologetic expression of pure grated ginger and honey. Honey sweetness is balanced by full ginger flavor with a touch of spiciness, making this mead a perfect choice to pair with spicy Indian, Ethiopian or Thai cuisine, grilled Korean mackerel or flavorful sushi and sashimi. It also pairs well with dark chocolate and is a great addition to a whiskey ginger cocktail or a moscow mule.

Bottle into a dessert glass showing well filtered honey gold with no head. The nose shows strong notes of ginger with softer notes of honey. The palate is light bodied and with a mild ginger spiciness. Moderately sweet with lighter notes of peach and orange with ginger running far into the finish. Balanced throughout yet full bodied and full flavored. Ginger spiciness is long but mildly intense. Fantastic.

At Hopishop 2017. Aroma of ginger, sugar and spice. Taste has lots and lots of spicey ginger, honey, syrupy sugar and some more spices. Extreme on the ginger, this is heavy stuff.

Sampled at Vintage Estate this mead poured a yellow-tan color. The aroma was sweet with strong ginger paste and honey. The flavor was strong candied ginger. Very long finish. Full bodied and smooth. Ambrosia.

375ml bottle thanks to Steve. Pours out a dish water color. Nose is big ginger cleaner nutmeg wow this is not good. Taste is more of the heavy ginger cleaner note plenty of spice and honey. Nailed what they were after but not for me.

375ml bottle courtesy of and shared with Meadme, thanks! Dorée pâle claire. Arôme au bouquet mielleux tirant sur un épicé de gingembre juste en rétro. Prenant sans être surfait on apprécie une belle balance entre la douceur et le relevé un peu plus épicé qui caractérise le gingembre. Palais est huileux, mielleux avec une pointe sèche et épicée de gingembre, retrouve un léger côté poudreux. Chaleur s’accentue sans jamais devenir surfaite. Retrouve un fini orange blossom, fini collant aux lèvres.

Bottle shared. Pours clear very light golden with no head. Aroma of ginger and huge floral notes, pot pouri, my Nan’s bathroom and pink candy. Flavour is light heavy sweet. Hugely floral palate with a little hairspray on a small minor negative. Light full bodied with no carbonation. Unique and lovely sipper. Ginger builds in palate as you drink it getting warmer and warmer to the end.

Pours almost clear , bit yellow shine . Smell is pure ginger . Taste is pure ginger , bit mead as well .

Sample at the Badge-Whore Bowl (OSU vs AL) tasting on 01/01/2015. Pours a clear yellow color with a minimal head and sticky legs on the glass. Aroma of ginger and honey. Full-bodied with flavors of sweet ginger spice, honey and a touch of fruit. The finish is sweet with a lingering ginger aftertaste. Enjoyable Mead all around.
