It’s time for the summer salmon run! Ever the traditionalist (and superstitious to boot), Harvie is a stickler for using his favourite salmon fly; a Hairy Mary. When fishing’s done, he settles down to enjoy a pint of this refreshing, citrusy, golden beer. Bliss...

A refreshing, citrusy, golden beer, named after the Brewery’s favourite salmon fly.

Hops: East Kent Goldings, Perle, Smile
Grist: Lager malt, wheat malt, pinhead oats

Light bodied with fine carbonation. Simple pale malt finish with wimpy bitter hay and lemon rind. A simple, refreshing golden ale.

Cask, one third pint at Jake’s Place where it was served comfortably chilled. Clear, pale golden body, tiny white head, poor lacing. Moderate aroma of grain and fruity hops. Floral hops in the flavour profile joined by pale malts. Subdued bitter ending, semi dry. An easy to drink thirst quencher (pub crawl in Edinburgh with mr_h, 09.08.2013).

The taste is crisp, floral, grainy, earth and grassy bitterness with a bitter, lightly citric finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Easy drinking, crisp golden ale. Refreshing.
