Cask at Caley Sample Room. Pours amber with a small white head. Aroma shouts BOOZE! Big rum and sherry notes. Tastes like drinking fruit punch. Not subtle, nor balanced.

Cask Pub & Kitchen. Light haze on this deep amber - red beer. Little pale cream coloured head. Airy, creamy malt. Vanilla oak (didn’t know this was BA). Candy sweet floralness - kinda crazy violet and rose infused marzipan, but there are other floral things. Traces of coca cola and generic fruits. Adding even more complexity to this already complex beer a whispers of chilli and cinnamon. Light bubblegum esters. Finishes smooth and lightly woody dry. Strewth! What a gobfull! But it all hangs together in to a rich and tasty beer.

Cask at CASK. It pours mahoganny brown with a small beige head. The nose is toffee, booze, vinous, earth, wood, sherry, light oxidized, plum and berry compote. The taste is sweet, dried fruit, candy, wood, sherry, leather, paint stripper, plum, berry, booze and stewed tea with a dry, warming finish. Med-full body, low carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Interesting stuff, but I couldn’t drink a lot of it.

Cask at CPK - Pimlico, London. Pours clear, copper-gold with a fine, beige foam head. Lots of ripe, semi-dark fruits in the nose, some wood and leather, lightly aged malts. Medium to big sweet flavor, quite boozy, lots of ripe berries, dried fruits, sugary and lightly bredy malts. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, lightly sticky, more ripe berries, warming alcohol, faint drying wood. If you told me this was 12% ABV I would believe you.
