Bottle at Craig’s. Pours copper, nose and taste have light pumpkin, toffee, too much carbonation, kills the flavour.

Bottle at home bought at the brewery. It was cheap cos the BBE was like a year ago. Aroma is apple tart, cinamon and nutmeg, light tart and toast malts. Red / orange coloured pour with a lasting fine cream head. Palate is highly carbonated, eddervescent and slightly tangy on the tongue. Flavour is toast with a touch of sweet orange marmelade, nice balanced spices with nutmeg and pumpkin pie and some apple pie. This bottle has stood up pretty well to the age. A spice / vegetable beer that the adjuncts are balanced. Good stuff.

Bottle 0.33l at home (via alesbymail). Colour is very light brown with medium white head. Aromas and flavours are spices, ginger, pumpkin and some sweetness. Amount of spices is massive. Hard to say what to think about this beer. Label is one of the most beautiful and original I’ve ever seen. I had to store the empty bottle.

Hazy amber brown beer. Tidy cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. A little fresh pumpkin, bold and cooling spices. A little malt cream. Finishes semi dry. A decent homegrown pumpkin beer. A little spice in the aftertaste.

Bottle at home, 15th November 2012. Pours a murky dark orange. Aroma is spice, pepper and ginger. Taste for me is strange, like a cold ginger, pumpkin soup, not my favourite, style, but se may like

Bottle at home in London with Lyoli. Pours hazy amber with a lasting, white cream head. Gorgeous aroma, lots of rich pumpkin, some nutmeg, toasty malts. Medium to big sweet flavor, tons of pure pumpkin, sturdy but restrained nutmeg and cinnamon spices, gingerbread, light toast. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Fantastic balance to finish, tons of lightly toasted gingerbread, lovely pulpy pumpkin, background cinnamon and nutmeg. Ah, this is superb. The alcohol is there but it really only serves to bolster the other characteristics. This is almost a flawless pumpkin beer.

Keg at Dukes. It pours cloudy orange-amber, with a thin white head. The nose is fairly sweet, fresh pumpkin, tinned fruit and spice. The taste is light spice, pumpkin, sweet squash, earth and some bitterness with a dry, lightly spicy finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. Alcohol is very well hidden. Not particularly complex, but rather drinkable stuff.
