Dark, very balanced dosed caramel and aromatic malts provide, in combination with a traditional high fermentation, a unique beer that unites the warmth of wine and the freshness of beer.

Bottle, 0.75l. Deep ruby pour, one finger frothy beige head. Medium retention, good lacing on the glass. Nice on the nose, sweet and malty, caramel, wheat, some floral notes. Medium body, soft carbonation. Slightly prickly. Average mouthfeel and texture. Malty sweet taste with very subtle herbal bitter notes. Aroma of caramel and toffee, wheat, dried fruits. Brown sugar, sticky mouthfeel. Slightly roasty. Mild liquory notes in the aftertaste, otherwise alcohol is pretty well hidden taste-wise. Warming, though. Short to medium finish, dry and sugary. Pretty good ale. Tasty and nicely balanced, rich taste and aroma. Feels more like dubbel, though.

330ml bottle. Clear, mahogany colour with average, thick, firm, frothy to creamy, mostly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish dark malty and yeasty fruity aroma, notes of red berries hints of dried fruit, plum, cherry, minimally toasty, nutty and sugary malty background, slightly yeasty spicy overtones. Taste is sweet dark malty and yeasty fruity, notes of malt lozenge, cherry, red berries, plum, hints of treacle, plum butter, slightly fruit acidic counterpart holds the sweetness at bay; sweet malty finish. Full body, smooth and soft, minimally sticky palate, gentle but effective carbonation. Minimally too sugary.
