Cask at The Crosse Keys, JDW, London. Pours clear, red-brown with a fine, off-white head. Interesting stuff. Mellow aroma, faintly roasty. Light sweet flavor with notes of tar, dark berries and burnt sugars. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately earthy to finish with more tar, lightly charred malts, toasty bread, light bitterness and suggestions of chocolate. Not bad.

Cask, gravity dispensed, at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Magohany with an amber glow and a ring of translucent head; orchard fruit aromas; soft in the mouth with some slightly sour fruit that gives a refreshing edge to the malty body; and a gentle malty finish. A really good mild, it could do with a bit more body though.

Cask at Charlie Hall (JDW) part of Autumn 2012 Beer Festival; Dark brown pour small head, little bit of roast malt, slight hop, bit watery not too bad.

cask at chanter ...deep brown ... thin tan head ... soft blackcurant toffee nose .... soft toffee roast ... liight blavk currant fruits .. soft woody bitter.. ok but little dull
