500ml bottle BBD of 30 Jun 2013: poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on 25 May 2013. Really enjoyed this, my second bottle of ’Goldings’. Pours a golden blonde colour with a slight haze: on top a good white head with retension. The aroma follows the label to the letter: there is a spicy, honey and caramel smell from the beer, the taste also has those three attributes with the beer being sweeter than most UK Bitters in both aspects (I have a fairly sweet tooth, so this is too my liking). Good body depth and feel to the brew: all in all a fine beer and the best in the ’Single Hop’ series for me so far.

Golden beer with a touch of fizz and a light, frothy head. Very mild hoppy aroma. Taste is hoppy of course, though not overpowering and there are some hints of fruit as well. Not overwhelmingly nice but quite pleasant though somehow it seems less than the sum of it’s parts.

Bottle from Morrisons, Banbury, Sun 12th August 2012 consumed 13th August 2012 around Carol & Haydns Pours golden, clean with a white head, looks pretty good. Taste is sweet, a touch of boiled sweets, clearly a pasteurised nose. Caramel, sweet malts, hops struggle to shine, lacking all over the shop. Ok A5 A4 T5 P3 Ov10 2.7
