We usually do not make compromises, but this is probably the exception. Norwegians are dead scared of dark beers. This is an attempt to show that there are gentle dark ales. As such Havre Stout is smooth and drinkable.

We think Havre Stout is good both with and in food. Try pairing it with a read meet dish, or give your vanilla icecream a small dash before serving. Recommended serving temperature 8°C/45°F.

Svart farge med beige fint skum. lukter godt sjokolade. Noe kaffe i smaken. Litt tam i smaken. Mangler 2 alkoholprosent:-). Ellers god og lang i ettersmak.

Dobre ale jak na klase Nogne to troche za malo dobrego to piwo z soba prezentuje. Malenka piana, kolor czarny i intensywnie gleboki, co swiadczy o gestosci trunku. Aromat czekoladowy w smaku dodatkowo troche kawy. Slodkosci sie nie doszukalem ani tez laktozy. Palonosc i wedzonosc w tle. Finisz wytrawny i dlugi

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours out black, with a tan head. Sweet roasted chocolate malt aroma. Moderately sweet. Slightly bitter chocolate aftertaste. Pretty good all round.

Bottle. Black with a reddish hue, tan head, lively out of the bottle. Aroma is burnt coffee. Flavour is dry coffee, malt and burnt oats on a long dry bitter tobacco finish.

Old rating rerated 11.06.2013, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Big fizzy mediumlasting head. Obviously overcarbonated. Aroma is lots of co2, dark roasted malts, coffee, grass, burnt caramel, chocolate. Taste is very fizzy, a little watery and neutral, lots of co2, dark malts, burnt caramel, coffee, chocolate, roasted nuts. Medium bitterness. Overcarbonated beers are never good in my mind. Bad batch I guess.

En god staut med fin mørk farge. Noe kullsyre, skummet over på flasken da jeg åpnet den. God på smak et øl å bli gla i.
