Made with a blend of Belgian brewers' yeast to create a beautiful, complex, light and hoppy delight.
Inspired by the American India Pale Ale and Double IPA this is an extremely hoppy, but surprisingly balanced ale. Brewed with some big American hops and dry-hopped with New Zealand Motueka giving a sparkling, fruity and grassy hop flavour, which combines beautifully with a Belgian yeast developed by us to give a distinct dry edge.

Flaske 0,33l. Delt med Rune under seanse i H9 17 Jan 13. Gave fra Harrisoni. Thanks a lot. Gyldenbrun. Høyt luftig skum som daler sakte og etterlater kniplingsverk på glasset. Litt uklar. Atomsky i siste kvelling. Deilig fruktaroma. Smaken litt vassen. Aprikos.

Many thanks to Harrisoni for a 330ml bottle of this one which was passed over to Finn and me in London last November. Two-finger, bubbly head slowly fading over a hazy golden-amber body. Spotty lacing. Smell of apricot and oranges. Flavoured with half-dry fruits and juicy malts leading to a bittersweet finish. Medium bodied. Succulent in the mouth. Refreshing (with Finn at a session in Tromsø, 17.01.2013).

ChrisOs Easter Tasting. Hazy gold amber beer. Short lived white head. Light smooth palate. Semi dry with mild carbonation. A little malt, slightly caramel, provides a base for nice mellow but tart hops. Mild fresh marmalade. Some bitterness from the Belgian yeast. Semi dry finish. Mildly bitter aftertaste. Canterbury continue to impress.

Bottle (thanks to Ian) at Chriso’s Easter tasting 2012. It pours hazy golden yellow, with a thin white head. The nose is citrus, candied peel, spice, peach, nectarine and melon. The taste is hay, spice, citrus pith, underlying sweetness, pear and melon, with a dry, spicy finish. Medium body and low-moderate carbonation. Decent enough, but really my sort of thing.

Cask at Egham United Services Club Easter Beer Festival 2012. A golden/amber coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Hoppy, Belgian aroma. Tastes hoppy, fruity, yeasty, slightly bitter. An interesting brew from Canterbury.

At Foundry brewpub in Canterbury. Very hazy copper light brown, lasting beige head. Belgian estery aroma mixed with intense citrusy hops. Lovely orange tangerine fruit. Wow this is really lovely. Sometimes these cross over beers dont quite work but this is really good. Interesting Belgian estery yeast with the kind of tangerine led hop fruit you get from the best of the Kernel beers. Stunningly good.
