This new beer has been brewed exclusively for this Wetherspoon real-ale festival and is an orangey-brown in colour, with a gentle hop aroma and a flavour which combines grainy, biscuit characteristics with a rye-grass flavour, leading to a pleasing, bittersweet finish.

Amber coloured ale that is increasingly endearing as it has an excellent body to it.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Pours a clear, orange-brown with a foamy-filmy head. Aroma holds rich, burnt sugar and toffee, toast and frosting. Flavor is fairly toasty and even roasty, lots of toffee and multi-grain bread, more toffee, with hints of herbal bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, plenty of toasty and burnt sugar, bit of dry, sticky hops. Very good beer.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 30/03/2011. amber with a slight, off-white head. Sweetish, cereal malt and apricot aroma. Flavour had some chewy, grainy malts, more fruit and a dry cereal laden finish. Good stuff.

Cask @ Counting House, JDW. Amber colour, off-white head. Aroma is malty, fruity, bit of caramel. Flavour is malty, fruity, and indeed, hint of rye. Tastes like a proper, healthy breakfast. Medium bodied and very good drinkable.
