Cask (backlog). Rubyish brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma is nutty, mildly herbal along with some toffee, mild spices and ripe fruits. Flavour is nutty, earthy, a bit spicy along with some resiny and mildly toasted notes.

Cask at the County Hotel (JDW), Ashford. Mid brown with a loose white head; vegetable aroma; bitter herbal taste; and a dry finish. I didn’t get on with this at all.

Cask handpul at County Hotel JDW Ashford. Clear deepish brown chestnut colour with lasting beige head. Some spice on this. Reminded me of sausages. Nalts are fine. Not overly keen on the spice. Spice is herby like you get in sausages
