Keg at The Vintage, Leith. Pours clear amber, big frothy white head. Aromas of orange and biscuit. Taste had a good orange peel note, slight caramel. Bitter finish. Good.

Cask gravity at Firkin Ale House Folkestone. Clear gold lasting white head. While pepper aroma. Herby white pepper dry really distinctive apa. Dry. Distinctive.

Keg at the Lyric, 17/03/14. Clear golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is citric peel, orchard fruit, bitter orange, bready malts. Taste comprises pithy citrics, mandarin, light grapefruit pangs, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop notes in a sweetish close. Ok.

50cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Says IPA on the bottle, but it’s more a golden ale to me. Hazy golden yellow colour, white head. Aroma of pale malts, flowers, pineapple, overripe fruits. Flavour is dry, malty, floral, fruity, malty bitter finish with a hint of citrus. Light-bodied, bordering on fizzy carbonation. Not great.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the epic Cotteridge Wines. Opens with a loud ’pop’ but, thankfully, doesn’t gush. The beer is well over-carbonated, though. The nose gives of smokey pale malts, some lemony citrus. Light to medium sweet flavor with more smoked malts, some pale white bread, minerals, light bitter straw and lemon peel. Light bodied with lively, mouth-filling carbonation. Light sweet to finish, further smoked pale malts, mellow dried minerals, straw, lemon, orange. Unless this is a smoked beer of some variety, I have to assume something is amiss here. The beer still tastes good and everything, though, which is nice.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; clear amber pour with massive foamy white head very lively, citrusy aroma, some zesty citrus coming through initially, some biscuity malt background, not working for me.

cask at magnet stockport oct 2011... amber ... thin white head ... soft zezty fruits nose... soft zezty fruits ... oily lemon ... zezty fruits ...juicy ... light orange and pine keg at bat 05 13 .... golden amber ... small white head .... soft floral zezty peachy ornge nose ... little too cold and fizzzy ... zezty fruits ... juicy sherbert lemon and orange ... nice but tiny vegative hint in linger stick at 3.8
