Crosse Keys Spoons. Clear gold beer, little white head. Smooth palate, low carbonation. Caramel cream malt with a little tangy orange. No real bitterness. Smooth and inoffensive.

Cask at the John Logie baird (JDW), Hastings. Amber with a dense cream head; the aroma has some fruit and biscuit but is rather muted; smooth bodeid with a fruity, caramel malt flavour; and a dry biscuity finish. A rather average bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 22/10/2011. Deep amber with a slight, off-white head. Sweet, caramel and red fruit aroma. Flavour was sweet and syrupy with not much of a finish.

Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW, London. Pours clear copper with a foamy, white head. Light fruit aroma, perhaps some cereal. Flavor at first strikes me like a lager. Don’t know why. Its sweet with some fruity notes, a bit of cereal, toffee and peach. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sugary sweet finish, very faint herbal bitters, some peach, dough and toffee. Yeah, reminds me of lager.
