Brewed to complement food, we use the lightest malts and Tettnang hops to achieve the unique pale golden colour, crisp taste and dry finish. This unique blend makes Hop the ideal accompaniment to spicy dishes, seafood and poultry. The Tettnang hops, imported from Washington State and Oregon, give the beer its soft melon aroma and complete the dry finish.

750 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. I had to try this one, despite being sceptical to the gimmicky name: IMO, most good beers are worth "to dine for" (with a possible exception of the very sweetest ones), so why should this one be different? It isn’t - it’s basically a decent standard golden ale, where the Tettnang hops (more commonly found in German lagers) shine through nicely. Citrussy aroma, notes of flowers and honey. Pleasant lightbodied flavour with a moderate but decent hoppiness throughout, nice but nothing spectacular. No doubt good with food (I must admit that my "dining" was limited to a couple slices of pizza), but again: so are many other beers.

(Bottle 66 cl) Beautiful amber-coloured, pretty much without head. Strongly hoppy nose, and hop-aromatic all the way through without being bitter. More sweet actually. The label claims this beer tastes like melon - well, maybe so... 140604

Draught. I was told this is a new version of the beer. Aromatic hop aroma with a hint of metal. Light golden colour, small head. Light, aromatic flavour. Hint of sweetness, with an acidic bonbon quality.

Bottled. Golden colour. Aroma of caramel and grass. Sweet and somewhat thin with clean mouthfeel and low-medium bitterness. A boring beer with an industrial feel to it.

A light amber beer with a small head. The aroma is sweet hoppy. The flavor is sweet and very hoppy. A very easily drinkable ale - no wonder Green King markets this beer as they do. It is an OK refreshing ale - but nothing special.
