This beer has been brewed exclusively for this Wetherspoon real-ale festival and is named after the year when Blackpool FC was formed, known as ‘the tangerines’, because the director of this brewery is a fan! Dark crystal malt creates a rich, orangey-red colour, while the English hops give a crisp, fruity aroma and spicy bitterness in the flavour.

Cask handpul at Hope Spoons Reading. Clear copper colour with lasting thin beige head. Strangely ordinary for an Acorn beer. Some intense on a growing finish which is good. Plenty bitter on finish. Some malt in mouth. But apart from that finish its a bit run of the mill. Fine
