Bottle @ LCRBM 2008. Roast, chocolate and licorice in the aroma. Licorice, dark chocolate and apple syrup in the flavor. Some malty sweetness. Very nice brew, though not exactly an imperial porter.

Bottle at Bumba. Aroma of malt, dust and coffee. Flavor of dusty malt, old coffee and no oak of whatsoever. Letdown, this has not aged well.

Bottle, BB 2013, courtesy of Koelschtrinker, thanks! Pours darkest brown with a sugary foam. Aroma is dark dried fruit, alcohol, sugar, malt brewing. Body is medium, almost raw sugar and booze fruit juice. Some caramel too, but mostly dried dark fruit. Booze characteristics without really being boozy. Old and dead, that's what it feels.

Imperial porter brewed for a Swedish customer since 2008. Thinnish, creamy, beige head, very deep and dark ruby red colour, practically black. Coffee and whisky notes in the nose and especially a very strong (and in the end somewhat bothersome) suggestion of ’baco’ (cocktail of white rhum with coke), along with caramel, tobacco, dried leaves, blue cheese, dates, peat, dried leaves, raisins. ’Dark’ taste of candied dates and raisins with a full, oily mouthfeel, malty and smooth, caramel, hazelnuts, in the finish lightly alcohol and lightly roasted but not very bitter, rather that ’baco’ sweetness lingering. Interesting but I like their imperial stouts better and I hate rhum with coke, so this weird resemblance to it did put me off a bit.
