Bottled. An unclear brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of spices, caramel, and brown sugar. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of over ripe fruits as well as medium notes of caramel and spices, leading to a dry spicy finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Stark bitter-malziger Antrunk, der Hopfen ist erkennbar, agiert aber nur sehr nebensächlich. Ausgewogen, malzig-erdiger Abgang. Ausführlicher Neutest folgt.

Bottle, 7% at LCRBM08. Slightly sour aroma. Black colour, small brown head. Thin mouthfeel, but OK syrupy. The flavour is roasted with some vanilla, fruity. Some sour graininess in the finish that I do not enjoy much. 6 3 6 3 13

Cask at Alvinne pre-ZBF09. Citric roasted aroma. Almost black colour, seems slightly hazy. The flavour is slightly sweet and fruity with some yeast and a little dry liquorice. Tannic feel in the finish. 6 3 6 3 12

LCRBM08, courtesy of Carlo and Urbain. 33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is mild spiced and mild roasted and a full nose of chocolate malty notes. Flavour is smooth chocolate and roasted malty with a mild residual sweetness. Smooth roasted and chocolate finish with a light vanilla note.

Bottle @ LCRBM 08: Poured a black with light brown head. Aroma is sweet fruits, sygars, and liquorice. Taste was more liquorice and aged wood, very interesting brew.

Bottled at Belgobaren, Stockholm. Opaque black with dense creamy beige head. Aroma of licorice and spruce needles with some vinous tartness. Chocolatey and lightly oaky with lemon, winegums and coffee. Feels way more Belgian than porterish with it’s vinous yeasty esters and restrained roastiness. Also the spritzy, lively mouthfeel and the pine needle bitterness points me in the same direction. In this beer I like the mouthfeel and drinkability better than the actual flavour.
