The Two Roads interpretation of this emerging beer style naturally takes a road less traveled. Unlike other versions, ours employs an American ale yeast and no spices. The result is a soft wheat backdrop that accentuates the Pacific Northwest hop character.

Keg at the Spread Eagle, Ipswich. Pours slightly hazy yellow gold with a short lasting white to off-white head. Aroma of lemon, hop, orange, yeast and light herb. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average carbonation.

12 ounce can. Hazy, pale yellow color. Large frothy white head. Perfumy citrus aroma. Light citrus flavor. Orange, tangerine, lemon, honey and pink grapefruit. Very crushable, yet lacking in complexity.

Can at home in Beer Hawk advent calendar. A hazy IPA with a small head and plenty of fresh hops on the nose. The taste was all hops that were well balanced with smooth malt and a pleasant mouthfeel. All very nice and thankfully lacking the sweetness that is present in so many US beers.

Hazy golden color with a fine white head on top. Ok lacing. Looks good. Mellow and fine hoppy and fruity aroma. Medium body and an average carbonation level. Balanced sweetness and a nice bitterness. Long tail and a semi dry texture. Citric hoppy, tropical fruity and pine in the flavor. Pleasant and dangerously session able beer.

355ml can. Pours a hazy golden yellow, thin white head. Aroma of pale malts, wheat grains and a light sweetness. Taste is quite smooth with a soothing sweetness and pine, a bit like the outer casing of honey-flavoured Locket lozenge (cough sweets). Wheat plays its role admirably with the mouthfeel. Not too into the sweetness, soft as it is, but it’s not a bad beer.

355ml bottle from Mitchell’s Meadowhead - Hazy yellow body, decent white head. Nose is big on the citrus, sweet and sugary cereals. Taste is syrupy with a bite of sharp citrussy hops making it nice and clean.

Watered down India pale like the curry in school cafeterias. Pours hazy golden with decent head. Straw aroma and light bitterness. Bottle.

Can from Appellation Wines Comely Bank. Appearance - golden with a slight haze. Nice fluffy head. Nose - flowers and limeade. Taste - loads more lime and general citrus pith. Some green stalks but not overwhelming. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - a good thirst quencher.

Thin off white head on a straw coloured body. Clean & crisp. A bit thin on the back. Bitter, sour tastes of citrus, banana, hops & grapefruit.
