Easy going. Maybe lost a bit of excitement. Light citrus, bit of coffee. Feels good.

A coffee dipa. Tastes as odd as it sounds.

Bottled. Hazy brownish amber colour with a big beige head, quite lively. Aroma is spruce, coffee, some toasted malts as well as some mild sweetish ripe fruity notes. Flavour is quite similar with some mild spicy notes. Also a sting from the alcohol. Bottle is a bit old due to forgetting it in the stash, but actually age has worked quite well on this one.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, consumed at dad’s, Kilburn, Derbyshire, Thursday 12th February 2015 This beer has given me an earworm, I keep singing the Holly Johnson hit ’Americano, blue jeans and chino’s anyway get-out of my head song, I need to get back to the back to the Siren beer now. This pours dark brown with a creamy white head, hoppy burps from the off. Soft in mouth, lots of coffee which calms the hoppiness and bitterness down. Some warmth from (it’s quite strong) bitter slightly harsh edge. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

330ml bottle. Pours dark brown with a big foamy beige head and aroma of citrus, pine, resiny hops, caramel. Flavour is sweet malty, caramel, molasses, toffee, raisins, woody pine, chocolate orange & grapefruit hoppy bitterness plus some earthy & coffee notes. Slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, earthy bitter finish with a hint of lingering coffee. Very drinkable.

Bottle from Bottledog in London at home. Dark dark almost opaque brown pour with big foamy head. Aroma is slightly roasted and quite hoppy - fruity plum sweet, boozy, and slightly spicy - good amount of coffee too. Taste is bitter - a bit burnt - and hoppy. Lots of flavor - bitter and piney hops, big coffee taste, and some sweetness. Body is a bit thin for this big a beer. Taste is interesting but a little muddled and a little burnt-tasting. Very good though.

Fat på Söder om Småland. Smak och doft av choklad, citrus, honung, torkad frukt, grapefrukt med toner av laktris och en aning rök. Fruktig, kraftfull, lagom sötma, beska med smak av kaffe och mörk bitter choklad. Riktigt fina smaker.

(Keg at O’Connor’s, 20140923) The beer poured reddish brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, coffee and citricness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, citricness, coffee, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A well done double IPA with coffee. Coffee was present and also hidden enough not to be too disturbing

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a dark amber with a frothy white head and a little broken lace. The aroma is rich woody resin nettle hop. The flavour is strong to moderate bitter with a big resin hop bitter, light toothpaste palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. I liked this beer and i’d certainly buy it again, but I didn’t get the coffee at all and there isn’t much to distinguish this beer from the Brewdog Hardcore IPA. I expected more.
