(Cask at Edgar Wallace, Strand, London, 3 Aug 2010) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, apricots and citrus. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, orange and a solid malt sweetness, leading to a bitter finish with generous doses of earthy, citrussy hops. More than medium body, fairly sweet. Very tasty and nice.

Cask handpull at White Horse, Parsons Green. Copper, thin disappearing head. It’s a pretty decent UK strongish bitter, with some flavourful aromatic hops. Not as extreme as the US beers, but decent enough. Good.

Cask @ Volunteer Arms, GBBF 2008. Shared with the brewer Ken Fisher of the Grateful Deaf Brewing Society. Pours a pale amber color with a small white head. Has a sweetish malty slightly floral hoppy citrus aroma. Sweetish malty caramel flavor with some nice hoppy hints with some hints of pine needles. Has a slightly sweetish malty hoppy bitter finish with some piney and citrus hints in the aftertaste. Thanks for the hospitality and great tour of Porland you showed us in June!!
