Bottle from Dobbies Garden World, Aberdeen. It pours hazy golden yellow, with a thick white head. The nose is baked beans, smoke and light citrus. The taste is hay, straw, baked beans, potato waffles, lemon, toasted malt and white bread, with a light bitter finish. Light body and low carbonation. Inoffensive, but not particularly exciting.

Bottle at a tasting. Pours cloudy gold with a small, foamy white head. Some baked beans in the aroma and the flavor. Pretty sweet, light nuts, some toast, very mild earth. Light bodied with average carbonation. Fairly clean on the finish, some toast and light nuttiness, bit of toasted sugar. Not bad.

Cask, gravity at The White Horse, Hedgerley, Bucks, Thames Tipple Leg 9 (Fins brucie bonus again) 13-03-10 This is golden in colour with just a very light smattering of hops on the nose. Loz quite correctly suggested that ’it really doesn’t taste of much does it’, I have to agree. There was a light fruitiness and some hops there but all in all a bit of a lightweight in the flavour department. A5 A3 F6 P3 Ov11 2.8
