Clear dark amber beer. Dry palate. Malty with a good underlying sweetness. Nicely balanced by hops that are fruity and not just bitter!

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Gold with a ring of white head; aroma of roasted nuts; watery with caramel and malt flavours; sweet and nutty to finish. Boring.

Cask handpull at Samuel Peto, Jdw, Folkestone. Copper colour, thin off white head. Some toffee on this, some Robinson yeast character. Itโs an ok bitter, some drying hop on finish. OK conidition. Itโs fine, bit more drying on finish than usual. Fine.
