Bottle, 4.0%. OK aroma, dark chocolate, slightly bitter and some chocolate powder. The flavour is smoky and quite roasted, slightly sour with a little cigarette butt notes.

Bottle at Toms Ultimate Glasgow Tasting: Poured a dark brown/black with tan head. The aroma is chocolate and sweet chocolate. The taste was a gritty smoke with chocolate.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of tbone_. Clear, dark brown with a vague, reddish hue and a small, rough, beige head. Lightly burned malt aroma with distinct chocolate notes. Light in body with burned malt notes and a weak, underlying sweetness. Very subdued bitterness. Has quite some character for a beer this light in alcohol. 180807

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Opaque black, rocky head. Very chocolatey nose. Medium sweet with clean mouthfeel and light-medium body. Cocoa powder dominates completely from the nose to a bitter chocolatey finish. A one flavour beer.

Bottle. Almost black coloured body with a rich brownish head. Promising chocolate smell. However, the flavour does not match the aroma. Cocoa and some burnt malty taste, but rather watered and coarse-grained texture (rating session in Tromsø, 23.02.2007).

Bottle 0,5l bought at Kilpishalli, Kilpisjärvi, Finland. Completely black with a large, creamy light brown head. Aroma of chocolate. A bit light bodied but the fingerprints of a stout are there - in a diluted version: Hints of coffee, chocolate and liquorice. Quite good for its (lack of) strength.

Bottled. Pitchblack opaque colour, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, and chocolate. Flavour is roasted coffee beans with smokeish hints. Not too much chocolate noted in the flavour. Quite watery.

Bottled (BB 10/2007). Opaque black, small creamy tan head. Strong aroma of milk chocolate and coffee in the nose. Flavor is dominated by cold coffee and tobacco with notes of milk chocolate. Not sweet than some other "chocolate stouts". Quite watery but suprisingly tasty for being only 4.0%. Short toasted aftertaste.
