Golden-amber. The aroma is limited - promising a nondescript brown bitter. Mellow beer, with light caramel, hints of earth, ok balance and a somewhat creamy body.

Half, cask at the Dagda Bar in Edinburgh. Bubbly, beige head, mostly remaining at the top of a slightly cloudy amber coloured body. Resinous hops to the nose added by mid-sweet malts. Blended flavour of bitter fruits and caramel malts. Careful bitter ending, 28.11.2010.

(Cask at Cove, Covent Garden, London, 23 May 2010) Dark amber/deep orange colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, nutty nose with dried fruit and citrus. Malty, slightly nutty taste with notes of toffee, dried fruit, orange and dusty hops in a finish with a moderate bitterness. Thin body, balanced sweetness. A decent session bitter, but not really exciting.

Cask handpull at JDW, Folkestone. Classic session bitter, with some malt, hop and yeast character. Cracking condition. Yes, it’s not a whole lot of flavour or too exciting, but what it does, it does well.

(cask) Light cherry malt aroma. Dark amber with moderate head. Smooth cherry malt flavor with a moderate hops finish. Nice smooth quaffable beer.Earlier Rating: 6/4/2004 Total Score: 3.4(Can) A nice bitter - nothing too distinct but a fairly pleasant beer to have with a pasty. Refreshingly hoppy without being too bitter.
