Brewed around the time of All Hallows ’eve. The recipe is a dark secret but eye of newt and wing of bat are hard to come by these days. A rich russet brown coloured beer with complex malt and hop flavours combining to make an autumnal delight with a warming character and a good strength.

Cask at the White Lion, Tenterden - ABV 4.2% Reddish gold in colour with a tight cream head; aroma of autumn fruit; smooth, fruity malt flavour and a dry, biscuity finish. Not very exciting.

Cask, somewhere in Chester. Poured a deep brown with a large head. Aroma was slight fruity malt and a bit woody. Taste was fruity and roast malt, with some apple throughout. A bit watery. Not impressed.

[Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen] A deep red beer with an OK orange head. The aroma is sweet and very malty, but also with notes of berries. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and berries, leading to a dry end. The body is a bit thin.

Cask handpull at Society Rooms, JDW, Maidstone. Chestnut colour with very thin bubbly beige head. Slightly yeasty nose. Some caramel, some fragrant hop. slightly sour in mouth with drying hop finish and more yeast. Fine. Good finish. In fact middle and end are better than the start

Cask. Reddish copper colour, white head. Nice hop aroma and bitterness reminding me of their Pedigree. Aromatic, slightly bitter and also slightly malty.
