Son goût est remarquable, léger et conjugué avantageusement sur un ton à la fois modestement sucré et fruité, laissant en bouche une impression rafraîchissante comme on en redemande.

Dec 2009: Cork and Caged 0.75 litre green bottle poured into four tulip glasses in one go. Deep red/brown/mahogany body with a good off-white head on all four glasses. The smell was fairly sweet, toffee and toasted malts simular to oven fresh biscuits. The sweetness carried on into the taste with the toffee coming out on top, the malts appearing more in the aftertaste. The best beer of the evening during a ’Big Belgian Bottle Night’.

33 cl bottle. Dated 10/11/10, $4 at Binny’s, Nov ’10. Fizzy, fizzy pour, big head over a brownish-brassy body. Popping bubbles almost as noisy as Rice Krispies. Light malty smell with a hint of Belgian wheat or spice. Sips are effervescent as champagne. Taste is mild golden malts with a hint of roast. A little raspberry tart, but a happy, dry finish. I said happy, not hoppy, as there’s not a noticeable bitterness, at least that can be felt over the dryness. Tasty, well worth repeating.

330ml Bottle. pours out not like any Saison i have ever had, dark brown topped with a long lasting sand head. Aroma was pit fruit, spice, and some sour notes. Taste is more of the pit fruit, spice, and some sweetness.

Bottle @ Benzai. Red to amber coloured. Decent, creamy white head. Smells sour, soapy and like flowers. Tastes quite fresh, but it’s not really my taste. Hard to describe the ’flaws’. Too much fizzy carbo, which wrecks the taste a bit for me.

(Bottle, 0.25 l, at Maltainen Riekko, 20110923) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Aroma had malts, spices and carboard. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, carboard, caramell, spices and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. Perhps too old bottle but I assume the beer wouldn’t be much better when fresher. Sweetness was too strong.
