One of the original Hoegaarden beers created by Pierre Celis in the eighties, then taken over by Interbrew (now AB InBev) and apparently still made. Snow white head, colour a deep orangey blonde. Very akin to Hoegaarden Grand Cru, but more sugary sweetness, even cloying till deep into the finish, and more hop bitterness. I’m not into AB InBev products in the first place but I would prefer Hoegaarden Grand Cru over this one.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought somewhere in Belgium. Hazy deep golden with a very dense white head. Fruity yeasty aroma. Fruity rather sweet taste. Nice creamy mouthfeel, despite the prickly carbonation. Short clean aftertaste. Nice blonde.

Bottle, 7C. Cloudy gold with a large white head. Doughy aroma with lots of orange, some apricots, cloves and pepper. And so it tastes. Quite sweet, plenty of doughy yeast, fruity, decent bitterness with some spices. A little wheaty tanginess. Not very involving, but pleasant enough.

Bottle @ home shared with Travlr. Hazy, murky orange color, small white to off-white head. Smell malts, pretty fruity, yeasty, overripe fruits. Taste malts, again pretty fruity and yeasty. Decent though.
