Amber colour, nice foam. Nose of sugar and sweeteners. Tastes like Leffe, very sweet, malty. Not my cup of tea.

Cloudy gold poured into chalice, soft carbonation feeds silky head. Some sticky lacing remains on sides of glass. Strong fruity flavor with some alcohol burn. Aroma also belies the high alcohol content. Perfect for sipping on a Sunday afternoon.

A shiny new bottle // 33 cl. bottle @ home // purchased @ ALBO // hazy light-bulb orange with some bubbles rising, creamy white head // smells of esters and oranges, spice yeast // taste is bubblegum, wheat with citrus creamed into it, some peel, lemons and some oranges, yeast, spices. esters and bitter floral finish, sharp. touch bitter honey // bubblegum and wheat body, reasonable carb // agreable

Old bottle. Seriously old. BB ’91. Shared with a friend who is fan of Hoegaarden and had all their beers before, except Julius.
Slightly hazy amber colour, white, dissipating head. Aroma of madeira, light herbal and spicy. Malty, light sweet flavour. Light spicy. Finish quite sweet and herbal, thyme. Nice, despite it’s great age.

Bottle 33cl.[ Vintage 1991 ]. Unclear light to medium yellow amber color with a small, virtually none head. Aroma is heavy malty, vintage malt, oxidid, vinous. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20081121]

33 cL bottle, 1992 bbd, courtesy of faeroeviking. Pours hazy orange to brown with no head. Wineous and oxidised aroma. Sweet malty and light fruity flavoured. Mild spiced and somewhat wooden. Light alcohol warmth into the finish. Lingering malty finish. Surely over the top, but interesting.

best before 1992, sampled 21.nov.2008. slight overdue. aroma very cellary probably due to aging. flavor is licorice and sweetness. impressive it survived this good. been gentle with the points, as it is extremely aged.
