Over five breeds of heron have made their home in the Great Rift Valley region of Kenya. Likewise, we have taken their lead by crafting an IPA with five different hops blanketed over a foundation of clean malt. Featuring Simcoe, Citra, & Amarillo hops this is our take on the American IPA.

355ml bottle. Pours orange/amber with a slight haze, small white head. Aroma of grapefruit, resin, orange, caramel. Taste is grapefruit, resinous, pine, orange, citrus peel, caramel and toffee, bitter finish. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Bottle @ home shared with Joes. Hazy orangy color, average sized white head. Smell and taste malts, nicely hoppy with some grapefruit. Decent body and carbonation. Solid.

Sampled at Meridian Pint, pours a lightly hazy dark orange with some spidering white head. Nose has candied orange, orange zest, grassy, stinky scapes. Flavor is bright with orange, grass and green onion, simple grist rounds it out. Finishes bitter, just off dry. Reminds me of Citra beers of old.

Keg at brewdog Lothian road. Pours golden orange, nose is caramel, pine, floral, sherbert, taste is similar, huge crystal malt.

Keg at Brewdog Soho, London. A dark golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, tropical fruit, pine on the nose. Tastes hoppy, citrus, tropical fruit, pine, slight bitterness. Very moreish IPA from Wisconsin.

Golden colour with fluffy head. Aroma and flavour have floral and resinous hop. Exceptionally smooth texture with fine carbonation. Growing bitterness in the finish.

On tap at Stanley's. Pours a clear yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has bitter citrus with light resin and grains backing. Flavor has lighter citrus with sweet grains and grass supporting.

12 ounce bottle from Sendiks Marquette. Hazy amber, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of dandelion, resin, onion, pepper, pale malt. The taste is grapefruit, citrus, onion, dandelion, pale malt. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness, well balanced. Very nice.
