Troubadour Blond is a full-bodied beer to enjoy at the bar with your best friends. It is a refreshing beer with a hoppy and aromatic fragrance. The beer has mild malt flavours with a mild bitterness and soft finish. This typical taste makes the smooth Troubadour Blond a great beer to have in all seasons.

330ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Very nice blonde here from Troubadour, with a great spicy fruit character and nice amount of Belgian yeast flavours.

SAQ import from my group with a best before date 06/11/14 on back label. Pours a cloudy golden-yellow colour with a big creamy white head, great retention and coats the whole glass. Loads of fruits in the nose (apples, oranges, prunes, dates) like marmalade and some of the Belgian Ale yeast. Sweet malt taste with the fruit notes, yeast and mild honey, all milder than the smell. Lots going on in this one and I have more to cellar to see if it blends better later. Still, pretty decent Belgian Blonde that is fruity.

750 ml bottle into signature tulip glass, best before 2/7/2016. Pours lightly cloudy bright golden amber color with a 2-3 finger dense and fluffy white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with plenty of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, banana, clove, pepper, floral, grass, wheat, light honey, light bread, and floral earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of malt, hop, and yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, banana, clove, pepper, floral, grass, wheat, bread, light honey, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of light fruits, banana, clove, pepper, wheat, light honey, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Excellent balance and complexity of malt, hop, and yeast ester flavors; with a great malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a smooth and crisp mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a highly excellent Belgian blonde ale. All around great balance and complexity of malt, hop, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. Really enjoyed this one.

Bottle at La Fiere Margriete. Dark gold, cloudy, with a tall head. Malty nose, stewed stone fruits, rich bready malt. Slightly tangy flavor, almost a bit tart rich grains. Decent but not so special.

Bottle at Mali Flek, Split. Hazy orange-golden body with a medium sized white head. Nice creamy jammy aroma, orange mostly, light banana, nice and fresh, with sweet malty, nearly candied nose. Nice grainy notes, caramelized too, mixing with banana paste. Light cough syrup with candy. Interesting note. Ok enough overall.

Bottle at the Gollem, Antwerp. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head and lots of lace. The aroma is cookie dough with yeast and malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a very resinous malty palate. A blonde like no other![br]9/14/2013: Bottle at The Fiddler, Den Haag. Poured a hazy light amber with a thin white head. The aroma is yeasty with some citrus fruit. The flavour is medium bitter with a yeasty malt slightly acidic palate. Not a traditional blonde, but pretty nice all the same.
