A hazy blonde, veering on amber, with a thick white head. Very pleasant aroma of banana bread, maple, honey, almost creamy. In mouth, a sweet candy sugar, leading to light cloves, coriander, and warming alcohol. Signs of oxydation also noted. Bottle is about 1.5 year old. Bieropholie private import.

Bottled. Hazy orange colour, small creamy head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is earthy, nutty and some yeast and caramel in it too. Also a lot of spices. Flavour is nutty, spicy, sour berries, earth, milk chocolate and yeast. Yet another "alternative", but very drinkable Saison.

Bottle. Golden color with a lasting white head. Fruity aroma, oranges, apples and hoppes. Some yeast and with banana notes. Fruity flavor with yeast, a bit peppery. [br]10/27/2014: Draught @ Gollems Proeflokaal, Overtoom 160-162, Amsterdam, Netherlands, 1054 HP. [ As Gollem Blond ].Unclear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, pale malt, light to moderate hoppy, moderate yeasty, fruity yeast. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet yeast, fruity, sharp yeasty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130929]

(Draught at White Horse, Parson’s Gree, London, 31 July) Colour is golden yellow, clear, with small white head. Nose is fruity and spicy with notes of tropical fruit, clove and coriander. Sweetish. Taste is fruity and spicy with notes of tropical fruit, pineapple and even some caramelised ginger. Rather sweet. Modest but evident bitterness. Very nice![br]9/6/2013: (Draught at Café Gollem, Amsterdam, 26 July 2013) Golden colour with foamy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with tropical fruit, citrus and a touch of candy sugar. Fruity, malty taste with notes of bready malt, tropical fruit, citrus, coriander and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Tasty and balanced with good drinkability. Nice one.

Pour is a clear yellow with a huge white head.. Aroma is very spicy and lots of corriander. Flavor is super fruity with notes of orange and banana with some vanilla and pepper. Does not look real good but it is tasty and satisfying. Sure there are better saisons out there but this is a good intrroducton to the style and easy on the wallet.

Bottled. Hazy yellow orange color, small creamy white head, some lace. Sour milk, fruits, red currant in the nose. It may indicate that this bottles was not in top condition (bartender claimed that all had same aroma). Sour, fruity and unbalanced ale - suprised to see this classified as "saison". Something to rerate.

Bottled Brugs de’ Beertje 05-11-05. The laat day of my latest Belgian excursion and one final trips to a mecca of Belgian Beers Brugs de’ Beertje. A hazy light golden brownish colour with a large fluffy off white head. Hoppy and yeasty aroma, fruity and little bit sweet backed up by some bitterness, pretty good.[br]10/5/2015: Keg at Gollem, Overtoom the bar, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Monday 5th October 2015. We sat outside just as we had done at Craft and Draft, however the weather is slowly changing now. Anyway onto the beer. It is blond (as the name suggests) its a decent if ultimately somewhat safe blonde, light bitterness, sweet a dab of vanilla, creamy. Fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

One of the yeastiest beers I have ever had, but other than that this is disappointing as a Saison. It is generally a light Belgian ale; lightly spiced and a light flavor for a Belgian; especially one as expensive as this one. Overall the spice is light. The finish is dry as the description says. Certainly nothing wrong with it, but for a Belgian Saison it delivers little.
