This ale is a tribute to the artistic expression that can be realized when a brewery and a hop farmer partner together with the common goal of achieving something new and creative. This beer is an exploration of a largely undocumented hop, native to the South Western United States. This ale offers a citrusy aroma with a distinct lemon and tangerine character while maintaining a moderate acidity that accentuates the delicate flavors and aromas of this brew.

Bottle, Highlands Wine & Liquor, 8-29-2014 Aroma is offputting, with a slight smell of cut grass that fades into stale alfalfa (or animal feed) and baby food. Taste is fine without standing out in any way, but palate is muddled, like many CM beers.

Can shared with Niilstrong @ hotelroom. Hazy murky yellow color, medium sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, slightly old hops, tangerine, resinous and bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Ok beer.

On tap @ Henrik. This is a soft blurry kinda golden looking one, a nice big really lacing almost foamy in way, white head on the top. Smells like soap - in a good way. Reply fruity, and citrussy. Red berries, mild strawberries and traces of sour wood? Really strange aroma on this. Tastes quite good. It's definitely melony, citric and almost wood dry. Mild oily on the texture and average on the carbonation. Soapy strawberries, raspberries and more citrus. Strange but decent. 26.06.2015

Super hazy golden and lightly copper coloured body with a thick, dense off-white head, about three centimetres tall. Aroma of very pungent floral, grassy and very tropical-fruity hops with a nice kick and a sublime character. Medium-bodied; Very grassy flavour with some fresh hops, strong malts and robust complexity of herbal and grassy sugars and dryness. Aftertaste shows the dry, grassy side, but leaves the hop profile in the front with some herbs, pine and a touch of the tropical fruits around. Overall, a nice robust APA with a good profile, nice texture and smooth/drying finish. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Sicliano’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan on 11-September-2015 for US$2,09 sampled at home in Washington on 28-June-2016.

Can sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Tom L. Hazy pale yellow. Nice unique hoppy aroma of citrus, pepper, za’atar. Flavor of spicy and citric hops, with nice bitterness. Medium-bodied.

12 ounce can into pint glass, no can dating. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy deep golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, mango, honeydew melon, light pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bright/dank citrus/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, mango, honeydew melon, light pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, apricot, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, pepper, pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bright/dank citrus/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance with no astringent hop flavors after the finish. Good amount of dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice pale ale. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of bright/dank citrus/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Sample at SBWF 2015. A bit darker golden with a white head. Aroma of citrus, malt and light earth. Similar taste, also grass and hints of spices. The finish was a bit bitter.

On tap @ Bakgården Både &. Really hazy orange body with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma has some pale malt, but mostly dominated by fruit and berries. Almost something grapefruit/grassy hops but not exactly that either. Refreshing unusually. Flavor has sweet malt, ripe fruit, blackcurrant, some grapefruit, grass and medium bitterness. A hint of sourness, especially in the aftertaste. A bit unusually, but nice and refreshing.
