It is an interesting amber beer, well balanced, powerful, malt, caramel, hop, pleasant sensation at the tongue and throat, 07.07.16, from the ex grain d'orges, Crissier, drinking it probably with Fred.

Bottle [from trade with CH-303] @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus and Joes. Nice dark amber color, average to medium sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, slightly herbal, a hint of sweetness and a hint of fruit. Not bad, but a bit too much sweetness I’d say. Basically a dribkable Belgian Ale.

Hazy, dark amber. Creamy offwhite head. Fruity, malty aroma. Slightly watery, malty aroma with hoppy bitterness. Seems off balance.

Bottle, trade with CH-303, opened @ The Unholy Trinity Meets Again, Sønderborg. Pours hazy dark amber with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of caramel malt, with notes of fruit and hops and hints of yeast. Bitter and citric flavour, with malty and fruity notes and touches of yeast. Slightly dusty notes, especially in the rather acetic aftertaste. Okay. Thank you, Asbjørn.

Bottle, 5.2% as La Rebelle - bière brune artisanale. Roasted aroma, hint of fart. Hazy red brown colour. Big stable creamy light brown head. The flavour is refreshingly caramelly, fruity and roasted. Has an OK citric hop note.

Many thanks to CH-303. 3,3dl bottle; 5.2% The beer starts sourish-fresh, nice hoppy-floral intense, fresh and easy to drink. Full-bodied, sourish red fruit, hints of spice, fresh. Nice woody-hints on the aftertaste, red sourish aroma, dark malty background. Fascinating aroma-mix, great brew!

Bottle from Au Grain d’Orge, Crissier; 5.2% ABV, bb 2013-04
Dark brown clor with compact head. Aroma of dusty hops and some bread, some caramel and some hop resins; finally, being a Chauve beer, here it comes the yeast. Caramel flavor, not too dry, with very light presence of fruity and resiny hops, but even more evident impression of vegetables; in the final there is some light yeast and astringency.
An average beer; nothing of a Black IPA.
