Bottled, BB 14-02-2015, large sample. Slight hazy golden color, huge rocky off-white head. Aroma of some citrussy hop, bit onion and garlic, grassy, spicy yeast. Most of the hop aroma is gone I think because of the huge amount of carbonation? Or is it just Belgians who are trying to impress with the statement of 6 hops used and dryhopping. Probably a mix of both. Medium bitter taste, hint of candy sweetness, slight alcohol. Huge carbonation, too much actually. It sparkles all flavors away.

Bottle from Belgium Beers, Antwerp, bb 20032015
Hazy pale blond color with generous and majestic rocky head. Nice hop aroma, some citra, some lemon soap. It blends quite well a spicy Belgian Tripel with the citrusy hops; rich, balanced, with bold final bitterness; fruity body; zesty final.
Very good, and relatively fresh.

Bottle shared by 77ships. It pours hazy pale yellow with a medium white head. The nose is earthy, wood, clean citrus, dough, floral notes and alcohol. The taste is wood, earth, citrus fruit, floral, herbal accent, decent bitterness, light resin and mild sweetness. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Interesting flavour profile. I can’t remember the last time I had the original so its difficult to compare. Decent enough though.

33 cl. swing-top – purchased @ ALBO. Shared with the group @ WoSF 2013. Pours hazy golden with a very, very BIG white head – although that might just be my pouring skillz. Aroma does carry American hops, slight sweet & mellow citrus, fruity, light grapefruit, BE yeast, slightly floral, very promising & nice. Taste is however sweet bitter herbs, cleaning products bitter, very floral, cleaning agents, grass, pepper, bitter spices & touch of freaking gasoline – wow. The nose was promising but the taste was totally not that, the rest seemed to enjoy this but I didn’t like it. Slightly fizzy, touch fuller body. Going against the grain here, worse than the regular one. Hopefully the rest managed to enjoy this a little bit.

Very huge & dense, yellowish, and fluffily (is that English?) dwindling head over faintly veiled golden-orange, quite carbonated beer. Intense "beery"-malty nose upon opening; perfumey aroma following, herbal, reasonably fine hops, just a touch, fleetingly, cheesy. Bitter-almondey-herbal. Hops seem more coarse than from the nose. Citra, no doubt, delivers the almondy, rosewater touch, but the rawer herbal hops still dominate; nettles, chicory. Bit of roasted caramel retronasal. Very carbonated. Aftertaste however levels out the coarser edges of the bittering hops, and balance is achieved. Better than the ordinary Hopus IMO, but still far from stellar.
