Belgian Farmhouse Ale. A complex pale ale, whose spicy, earthy flavours come from its unique yeast strain. Topped with a huge dose of locally picked elderflowers. Naturally Hazy.

Gravity dispense at EBF XVI, 09/11/13. Very lightly hazed golden with a thin off white covering. Nose is floral, citric fruit, straw, spice, lemon rind. Taste comprises lemon rind, soft bread dough, tarte peach, tangy citrus notes, light smoke, tarte fruit skins, spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finale. Ok stuff.

Pelt Trader. Old Fountain. Cask. Hazy gold beer, no real head. Palate is smooth and slightly viscous. Very modest fine carbonation. Sweetish floral malt. Touch of dried fruits. Dry finish. Doesn’t really hang together. Too stodgy because of the duff palate.

Cask at the Old Fountain. It pours golden yellow with a tiny white head. The nose is hay, floral, grainy, light sweetness, varnish, permanent marker pen and estery pear. The taste is smooth. elderflower, light bitterness, dough, spice, grain and toast with a dry, lightly spiced finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Interesting and rather drinkable.

Cask at the CBC Islington. Hazed golden orange pour with decent froth. Aroma is peppery yeast. Subdued season character with slight floral. Not much elderflower. Flavour is more peppery floral. Wheat bread malt Palate is slightly flat for a saison. Soso.

pale gold cloudy lasting white head. Saison yeast and nettle elderflower aroma on the hop. Now that is a lovely beer. Interesting hoppy and with that lovely Belgian funk. Decent.
