Ciao!! In honour of our 20th anniversery, we brewed in collaboration with Bruno Carillo (Brewery Toccalmatto) and Ken Fisher (Grateful Deaf)a Collaboration Brew. This brew is a heavy Stout, also known as a Russian Imperial Stout, with as an extra some Curacao peels and smoked malts. This results in a thick and full beer which is almost syruppy in its flavor, with fruity, smoked and toasted hints. The royal use of Zythos and Simcoe hops make the beer even more tasty!! Or, like Ken says it: 'We love hops!'

Bottle at home. Black with rich creamy, sticky, caramel tan head. Looks like a melted marshmallow on top. Deep roasted sweet chocolate malts. Some marshmallow sweetness actually, dark chocolate, dark fruit, liquorice, melasse, ash, liquid smoke, light alcoholic/boozy, hop bitterness. Over medium sweet, medium bitter. Full body, slick and fat. Some spiciness in the finish, alcohol+hops probably, quite carbonated for the style. Lovely smokiness.

330ml bottle @ Shrewsbury Beer Share, April 16, courtesy of myself. Pours dark with small off-white head. Aroma is rich roasted malts and treacle. Taste continues with a good complex Imperial Stout character and light smokey finish. Rich and delicious.

Shared bottle at the April 2016 Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group meeting: cheers Mat for this offering. Ever got lost in a fruit orchard surrounded by a smouldering Peat Bog? Well drinking this is the closest Iβve come to that.

Bottle at home. Black with small bubbly light brown head. Roasted grains, smoked dried orange, lots of dark chocolate, some coffee and booze. Quite toasty and smoky, with marmalade and sweet sugary notes. Over medium sweet and bitter. Full bodied with soft creamy feel. A bit rough and the smoke doesnβt work too well with the fruits for me, but an enjoyable beer.

Pours as reddish used motoroil to a towering brown-beige head. Sweet molasses, dark caramel, ureum, and a faint ashy smokiness in the finish. Very roasted, sweet, and bitterish as burnt breadcrust. Again molasses, and a mild fruitiness that might well be orange, but not necessarily so. Full-bodied, viscous; some alcoholwarmth. Sweet, full-flavoured, but rather unidimensional. In the mouth, the smoked malt is as good as imperceptible.

Bottle @ home. Opaque pitch black color, medium to full sized quite creamy light brown head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, light roast, liquorice. Taste malts, liquorice, dark malts, lightly sweetish toasted malts and a distant hint of milk chocolate, lightly alcohol, nicely bitter finish. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, suitable soft carbonation. Nice one!
