Ciao!! In honour of our 20th anniversery, we brewed in collaboration with Bruno Carillo (Brewery Toccalmatto) and Ken Fisher (Grateful Deaf)a Collaboration Brew. This brew is a heavy Stout, also known as a Russian Imperial Stout, with as an extra some Curacao peels and smoked malts. This results in a thick and full beer which is almost syruppy in its flavor, with fruity, smoked and toasted hints. The royal use of Zythos and Simcoe hops make the beer even more tasty!! Or, like Ken says it: 'We love hops!'

Bottle picked up from somewhere in the Netherlands. Consumed at home, on our birthday weekend Sunday 15th November 2015. Soft, really soft mouthfeel. Wow this is a big beer, liquorice, bitter chocolate and coffee but mostly liquorice, it’s smokey but a well integrated smokiness. Gloriously thick, a very gratifying mouthfeel, silky smooth. Black as yer at with a tan head. Wonderful beer a steady warmth from the alcohol, very enjoyable.A7 A5 T8 P4 Ov15 3.9

0.33 l bottle from De Bierkoning, bottled in August 2015. Clear, very dark red to black with a huge, creamy, slowly diminishing, brown head. Sweetish, fruity-malty aroma of orange, lemon peel, some dark chocolate and coffee. Sweetish, fruity-malty taste of orange, dark chocolate, coffee, praline and hints of raisins, followed by a long, medium to heavy bitter, peated and roasty finish with lots of dark chocolate. Full body, thick and creamy mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Nice fruity-hoppy RIS with a shitload of malt flavour and a heavy mouthfeel as well. Very extreme but also very good!

Rauchig hopfiger Antrunk, in dem die Malzigkeit weniger stark als gedacht ausfällt. Rund, etwas schokoladig, geringfügig alkoholisch. 10/10/11/10//11

On tap at Jopen Proeflokaal Waarderpolder. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of liquorice, earthy smoke, hard-roasted malts, Engelse Drop (the black ones), citrus peel. Flavour is sweet at first, Jopen candy yeast, lots of liquorice, peat is more earthy than smokey, hint of leather, orange peel (the bitter white stuff), roasted malts, citrus hops, rather bitter finish, light hoppy, some burning alcohol. Medium to full bodied. A bit harsh on the bitterness, but good nevertheless.
