Tap at Borefts ’15. Pours murky brown with weird peach floaters and no head. Aroma has huge barrel notes, bourbon, vanilla, light fruits, peach and big booziness. Flavour is light heavy sweet and over moderate bitter. Light full bodied with near flat carbonation.

Keg at BBF 7, Bodegraven, 25/09/15. Murky orange amber with floaties. Nose is soft peach, bourbon, spice, wood, sharp booze intake. Taste comprises bitter peach, mellow fleshy fruit, barrel well evident, spice, light malt. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok if a touch hot and a little unbalanced.

Borefts VII. Day 1. Murky amber beer with a few floaty bits, no head. This was an early pour. Palate is light and semi dry, mild fine carbonation. Little spicy bourbon. Emulsion paint. Modest peach. Spicy bourbon finish. Interesting but a bit messy.

Sampled @ Borefts 2015. Clear rusty orange golden color, virtually no head. Smell and taste remind me of a strong liquor, especially the aroma. I can’t really taste the peach though. I’m not sure what to think of this. Wouldn’t drink a bottle of it that’s for sure. Let’s go for interesting.

At Borefts, as Peach Fred from the Wood. Practically no head apart from some loose bubbles at the edge of the glass, brownish hazy amber colour. Strong aroma of bourbon, wet wood, oxidized sherry, dried peach, caramel; sweet peachy onset dried by tartness, soft carbo, caramelly malt base, long drying finish of sherry- and whisky-like alcohol, tannins and fruity tartness. Weird, a bit too oxidized and boozy for my taste, but certainly an interesting experiment.
