Tap at Borefts. Clear amber with small ring of white foam. Lots of bourbon, light yoghurt, marzipan, peach, grappa, sweet malts, lots of bitter herbs. Medium sweet and herbal bitter finish. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. Bit too boozy but otherwise quite nice.

Keg at Borefts Beer Festival, De Molen, Bodegraven Friday 25th September 2015 in the company of Jackie and Simon Called peach but it’s apricot in colour it is a little cloudy with an off-white rim. Tastes like dry sherry, dry fruity, it’s ok but it’s hard work for me. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Draught at the brewpub
Murky amber color, dull hue, compact head. The aroma provides loads of bourbon. Fairly sweet, with a very good malt base, a mellow fruity touch, strong bourbon character and pleasant alcohol warmth. The base beer is the winning element here, the bourbon and peach are a fun experiment.
Excellent beer.

Draft taster at the brewery. Pours a cloudy apple orange with little head. Aroma of sweet peach and bold bourbon, which mixes nicely. Flavor matches the aroma, with a long, dry sweet bourbon finish. Interesting beer. Good stuff.

Sampler at the brewpub. Thick dirty golden color. Too much of everything, particularly booze. Ugh. Boozy wood with tropical fruit hints.

Another gorgeous beer from Hair of the Dog. Fuzzy brown, thin head. Peach and malt aroma. Very full bodied with oak, malt, peach notes. Warming malt finish. No alcohol burn

On tap at Hair of the Dog tasting room, pours a dark ruby red with a tiny ring of off-white head. Aroma of peach and bourbon upfront, both relatively prominent, with some caramel malt sweetness and brown sugar. Flavour is still as bourbon-heavy as regular Bourbon Fred from the Wood, but now with prominent peach flavours (duh!). Lots of barrels, woody notes and bourbon, a bit of vanilla, the peach well-accentuating the barrel character. Excellent stuff, as always from this brewery. A bit cloying in peach sweetness after a while, holding this one back from being a masterpiece. Still, very enjoyable.

On tap at Hair of the Dog new location. Pours out thick like peach juice with peach pulp no head on this one. Aroma was nice tons of sweetness, peach, and vanilla. Taste was more of the sweet peach juice, some bourbon, and thick malts.
