This cross-cultural brew was first made at the request of an Irish musical group and was named "Celtic Heaven," but soon became a permanent part of the Serafijn lineup. Similar to a light Irish ale, but but with the intriguing of a spicy, almost perfumed aroma that comes not from spices but from a special Belgian yeast.

Pours deep amber into a Trappist glass. Offwhite micro head recedes leaving no lacing to cover the surface. Yeast and malt aromas. Crisp and yeasty with a slight pepper finish.

Bottle: Very well sealed, made a cap gun popping sound when opened. Poured a luciant brown with slight orange tint. There is lines of nice bubbles that start at the bottom of the glass and stream to make a white head. The aroma is full of fruit and bubble gum. The taste is sweet caramel malt with a spicy tingle to the taste buds.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange to light amber with a little semi fizzy off-white head. Spiced and light metallic aroma. Fizzy carbonated mouthfeel. Flavour is mild caramel malt and distinct spiced. Mild yeasty note into the finish. Lingering fruity and spiced finish into a solid bitterness. Mild caramel note in the far finish. Wellbrewed, but nothing great.

Bottled. Deep golden colour, small white head. Aroma is caramel, yeast, mild notes of alcohol and some wood too. Flavour is quite the same but with a lot of nuttyness and also grassy notes added. Also some notes of yeast and candy sugary sweetness. Aftertaste is yeasty, nutty and quite sugary.

Hazy copper beer, with a few bubbles clinging to the sides of the glass - semi-sweet, belgian sugar aroma, with perfume/flower/tea-like notes, and a thick, musky sort of smell - very mild honey sweetness up front - subtle spice character, some grain/bread, and an odd milkiness cross the palate - all the flavors are hard to make out, making the beer appear to be nearly flavorless at times, so the beer is subtle to a fault - I’m picking up some innocuous herbal flavors - man, if only these flavors would assert themselves more, this beer would be great.

Bottle: Poured an light orangey color ale with a big foamy head with some good retention and some lacing. Aroma of spices with some yeast characteristics and some nice Belgian malt. Taste is comprised of a mix between some Belgian malt with a nice hoppy finish. Body is above average with some great carbonation. Well done for the style.

Hazy amber color; wonderful head, huge, thick. Strange but nice aroma, perfumy, soapy, candy-like. A suspect that I got from the aroma is confirmed by the taste: infection; the body is medium-weak, with a light sourness. Not extremely bad, but I think it’s spoiled.
