St-Feuillien’ Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde ale, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang. Saison, the latest in a long line of top-quality St-Feuillien beers, is a “hoppy”, unfiltered bee that is so emblematic of the rich Belgian tradition.

Hazy golden beer. Smells of banana and citrus. Taste is banana and a little spice and hop, with a quite a lively mouthfeel. Finish is a nice blend of malt and hop. Very nice.

Bottle from Tesco Supermarket, Borehamwood. Golden with a mild haze and a small carbonation. This is quite a hoppy saison so there's very little sourness or bitterness found in this one. It has a pleasing full-bodied mouthfeel with a fair few yeasts available, most notably in its nose.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Total Wine & More, Burlington. Appearance is turbid orange with tons of large, pulpy floaties, decent sparkle, 3-finger width white foamy head with fair retention and light, leggy lacing. Aroma is strong fruity esters, yeast, mild clove; tart wet cardboard as it warms. Taste is mix of tart and sweet fruit, mild bubblegum and hint of barnyard. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, average carbonation and crisp, dry finish as taste. Overall, look is understandably rough, but aroma and flavor are strong representatives of the style.

Bottle at Hiranoya. Interesting, fruity, tomato! Light tropical, grainy, aroma is full of Belgian yeastiness, light and grainy, berries. Taste is better than I remember, good stuff. Light citrus. Bit of creaminess later.
