650 ml bottle. Pours amber with light head. Aromas of toffee, pine, and New Zealand hops. Flavors are the same though more pronounced with a bit malt component. Chewy. Very nice

650mL bottle, pours a clear bronze with a small off-white head. Nose brings out yeast, caramel malt, and some resinous hops - quite balanced and more yeasty for a IIPA. Flavour brings out loads of resinous hops, caramel malts, and a bit of candied sugar. The 167IBU is extremely well-concealed. Quite a bit more malty than my ideal IIPAs, but the balance is good enough and it never becomes cloying. Good stuff, but underwhelming.

Bottle - Pine, citrus and the candy floss sweetness I love. Clear orange with a thin ring of head. The malty sweetness starts, then followed by the bitterness and alcohol head with a finally of pine and citrus. Medium body with a dry finish. A huge hop bomb that is over the top but not unbalanced or overwhelming. A great Double IPA.

Pours dark amber with a small head.Very fruity aroma but also a lot of sweet clean malt. Some booze. Caramel, pine and resinous hops dominate.Very aggressive flavours, with a big hoppy bitterness throughout. A fair bit of clean sweet malt as well, but the resinous, grapefruity hop bitterness wins out.Nice moderate carbonation. The bitterness seems to sharp and aggressive.

From a 650ml bottle on 12/5/2013 (shared with Butz). Pours a clear dark golden with a small head. Has a very strong hoppy aroma, with lots of fruity and resiny notes. Flavour wise, there’s a big caramel and toffee malt backbone, masses of sweet citrus and stone fruit (orange, mandarin and apricot), a bit of honey, and a huge grapefruity bitterness at the back. There a hint of warming alcohol in there as well. The palate is relatively slick and the carbonation modest. A very enjoyable imperial.

Bottle. Clear orangish amber with an inch of white head that fades sharply but laces pretty well. Abundant citrus aromas of oranges, grapefruit, kumquat, kaffir lime; pine, mango, peach, pineapple, passionfruit, slightly toasty caramel. Slightly syrupy, carbonation is low. Very fruity, as much stone and tropical as citrus. The citrus flavours are not that zesty. Very strong but not harsh bitterness. The malts are a little crusty and it’s not that sweet. Alcohol sticks out a little. Good.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes hops, caramel, and malt soup. The aroma has notes of hops, lemons, straw, caramel, and malt, leading to a very bitter finish.
