Uit een halve liter blik op Texel, na een prachtige wandeling. Troebel goud oranje van kleur, ook met de smaak is niks mis. Kende dit niet, blijkt van Bavaria. Prima.

F: big, white, good retention. C: blonde, hazy. A: malty, wheat, bubble gum, banana, very sweet fruity. T: malty, bit wheat, banana, bubble gum sweetness, candy, bit soapy, bit vanilla, this is very funny but nice example of how to German Hefeweizen should not be, light to medium body, medium to high carbonation, 0,5l can from AH HESSENPLEIN in Antwerpen.

German 0.5l can in a BE supermarket - this thing just SCREAMS quality to me! Poured in a glass. Color seems a bit of, as it looks very orange. Hazy, but no real yeasty haze like i'm used to in a weisse. Small white haad leaves the room before I could take a good look at it. Smell is sweet, some banana esthers, but also a really weird, chewing-gum-orange aroma. Mild phenolic back, hidden beneath that 'chewing-gum'-like aroma. Taste is medium bitter, definately too sweat (fot the style, but also for the enjoyment) . Some wheat indeed, mild cloves and phenols that are typical to the style. Can't really get over this weird chewing gum sweetness though.

Sampled from 0.5 l can from 'AH XL' (Maastricht), best before November 2018. Hazy, orangeish amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish, slightly yeasty-spicy and a little fruity aroma of honey, banana, pear and a touch of clove. Quite sweet, moderately yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity taste of artificial banana, honey, pear, some vanilla and a touch clove, followed by a short, slightly bitter, moderately yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Okay!
